Our Mission
Legio XIIII G.M.V. is a Living History/Recreation group that strives to represent the soldiers of the Roman Legions during the period from Augustus to Hadrian.
We focus on recreating the appearance and material culture of the men that served in the Contriburniums (squads) that made up the Centuries which where the base building blocks of the Roman Legion.
We do not try to represent the senior officers, but focus on what the common soldier wore, carried with him, and how he performed his duties while in service within the Legion.
Our group is based in the eastern half of the United States, and participate in both immersive and public living history programs.
